    Artist Study Afternoon: Creative Collections

    Education Studio, Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, UEA, Norwich, NR4 7TJ

    This study afternoon will explore the relationship between collecting and creativity. Artists will introduce their personal collections – how they acquire, live and work with their collections –before opening up discussion to consider the reasons why artists collect, and the relationship between their collections and their creative practices.
    The panel will include award winning film director Guy Myhill, Senior Lecturer in Fine Art at NUA Dr Krzysztof Fijalkowski, artist and Senior Tutor in Textiles at the Royal College of Art, Freddie Robins, whose most recent work has incorporated found and inherited objects, and Zoe Mendelson, author of This Mess is a Place: A Collapsible Anthology of Collections and Clutter.
