Collect 2020 Talk: Maker's Eye, Maker's Voice - Talking about Craft, Friday 28 February 3.00 - 4.00pm

The Makers’ Eye is an exclusive preview of the inaugural exhibition at the new Crafts Council Gallery, opening March and looks at the Crafts Council Collection through the eyes of those who have contributed to the shaping of modern British craft. Spanning disciplines and decades over 100 craft objects acquired for the nation over the last fifty years have been selected by 13 makers. Crafts Council’s Head of Exhibitions and Collections, Annabelle Campbell, brings together three of these makers, including Freddie Robins and Michael Brennand-Wood, to discuss how they went about bringing their unique perspective to their selection, how the selection reflects a personal view of craft and the impact of having their work included in the Crafts Council Collection.
